Storm Season Prepping 2014 By Fired Up!!! Prepper Since storm season is right around the corner, tornado, hurricanes etc. are you doing any extra prepping this year to be a part of the solution and not a part of the problem? Taking cover plans, safe rooms, shelters etc. Stock up on food water, emergency generator, and medical supplies and don't forget about your pets, food treats beds etc., extra water. Alternate sources of communications when electricity and phone lines go down. Cash on hand if banks and ATM's are not available. For tornado areas think about underground stash's to escape the wind etc. If it’s in the home after a tornado it could be miles away when the storm passes. You can bury 5 gallon buckets with supplies, 55 gallon drums whatever you have room for. Your first goal should be an emergency 24 hour supply than move up to 3 days, 7 days, 30 days that will get you through most emergencies. Don’t forget about shelter and alternative means of transportation. Start now do a little every week and by the time the storm season hits you will be better prepared with a secure peace of mind to make it through. Or you can just wait for the warning signals and hope the Red Cross and FEMA will come take care of you. Either way I hope that you stay safe during this year’s Mother Nature’s events! I started prepping last year for natural disasters after the devastating tornado's in Oklahoma and other areas of the US.
